18th Annual Winterfest Pigeon Forge is planning an evening of music, fun and old friends for the city’s 18th Annual Winterfest Kickoff on Nov. 8. The festivities will take place in Patriot Park and mark the beginning of the four-month, award-winning festival. As is tradition, the evening’s activities include the lighting of the Pigeon Forge Winterfest lights. Musical entertainment by a special guest will bring the evening to a close. More than five million lights on trees, displays and streetlights shine throughout Pigeon Forge for the duration of Winterfest. Winterfest displays will remain until the end of February and can be found along the Parkway, on Teaster Lane and in Patriot Park. Pigeon Forge Winterfest has been named Festival of the Year three times by the Southeast Tourism Society and the Top Event in the U.S. by the American Bus Association. The festival continues through February and features a series of special events including Wilderness Wildlife Week, AppalachiaFest, Smoky Mountains Storytelling Festival and Saddle Up!
