Award winning sculptors, painters, potters, carvers, and photographers will display work featuring nature and wildlife themes: Tom Landrath (water colors), Joy Hartsfield (graphics and mixed media), John Flower (photography), Carl McCleskey (bronze sculpture) to name a few. Ron Goodman from Fitzgerald, GA will demonstrate his unique painting talents throughout the weekend, Mr. Goodman is a paraplegic who has taught himself to paint using a unique technique. Many of these artists have shown their work at two of the largest wildlife shows in the southeast, the Southeastern Wildlife Expo I Charleston, SC and the Plantation Wildlife Festival in Thomasville, GA. Birding, bee keeping, and fly fishing demonstrations, children’s environmental activities, wildlife rehabilitation centers and Sugar Creek Farms Alpacas will also be a part of this exciting event. Admission is free and there is no charge for parking. Blue Ridge is located approximately 90 miles north of Atlanta and 90 miles south of Chattanooga. The historic downtown area is home to the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway, a large selection of antique and specialty stores and distinctive art galleries. The county is noted for its numerous hiking trails connected with the Benton McKaye and Appalachian Trail system, close proximity to whitewater paddling and an abundance of rivers and streams for trout fishing and beautiful Lake Blue Ridge.
