Secret City Festival: East Tennessee’s Premiere Summer Event

Join more than 15,000 visitors and residents in celebrating the 61st Anniversary of the end of World War II at the 2006 Secret City Festival June 16-17, 2006. Named one of the top 25 summer activities in Knoxville Magazine, this event is sure to be fun for the whole family.

World Premiere of Keith McDaniel’s documentary film “Secret City: The Oak Ridge Story Part 2” featuring the heritage of Oak Ridge, Tennessee from 1945 to the present

The most realistic portrayal of a World War II battle during our re-enactments and historic camps featuring more than 150 American, British and German troops (www.fiveohfirst.com)

Kids of all ages will enjoy a rock climbing wall, euro-bungy, petting zoo, Home Depot exhibit, Science Rocks With Flumpa! and much more

The Children’s Museum of Oak Ridge will dedicate an updated exhibit, “Difficult Decisions,” offering an interactive experience for kids of all ages to learn about the decisions that led to the dropping of the atomic bomb

Shopping will prove fun at the festival with a wide variety of Arts, Crafts and Antique dealers
