Chattanooga’s Hunter Museum of American Art opens two new exhibits June 13. Both run through September 13.America, The Land and Its People features the private collections of American art found in Chattanooga. Two basic themes dominate the exhibit—the landscape and the lives of its people from the early 19th century to the present day. Norman Rockwell: Drawing the American Dream displays 40 original pencil and conte crayon drawings with traditional themes favored by the illustrator. All were commissioned in the 1950’s as advertising art.
