Buena Vista, VA tunes up for Fiddler’s Convention

Come prepared for a toe-tapping good time June 18-20 at the fifth annual Maury River Fiddlers’ Convention in Buena Vista, VA. Held in the city’s Glen Maury Park, individual fiddlers and bands from miles around will compete in instrumentals, folk song and dance as well as bluegrass music.

While in Buena Vista, stop by the city’s new regional visitor center. It offers information on Buena Vista, Rockbridge County, Lexington and the George Washington and Jefferson National Forests. To find the center, take the exit between mileposts 45 and 46 of the Blue Ridge Parkway and follow the signs about four miles to the visitor center.
