Biltmore Estate
Winery hosts Summer Holiday Weekends |
Biltmore Estate's Summer Holiday Weekends:
Celebrating with Style will highlight the best of outdoor summer entertaining
with demonstrations from Food TV Network and Southern Living chefs, food/wine
seminars, wine tastings, and live jazz in the courtyard.
Food and home editors from Southern Living magazine will share gourmet
cooking techniques and tablescaping ideas on Memorial Day weekend. Food
TV Network chefs Jack McDavid and David Rosengarten will also showcase
their talents preparing summer fare with demonstrations. On July fourth
weekend, McDavid with Grillin' and Chillin' will highlight his grilling
secrets, followed with an appearance by Rosengarten from Taste and In
Food Today on Labor Day weekend.
Biltmore Estate Winery staff will host a variety of food and wine seminars
including tips for food and win pairing, expert advice on tasting wine,
and ideas for creative picnics. Biltmore Estate wines by the glass will
be available for purchase to those enjoying live jazz performances in
the Winery courtyard. Regional bands such as The Incontinentals and the
Afro-Rican Ensemble will be featured.
Children may also participate in a grape juice tasting, complete with
animal crackers to "cleanse" their palates. And in the spirit
of traditional wine-making methods, they may join their parents in removing
shoes and socks for the annual Grape Stomp.
